Crew vs. talent: a split strategy works

Many productions use both: basic porta potties for general crew, and a restroom trailer near base camp for talent, clients, and hair/makeup. It keeps costs sane while protecting the experience where it counts.

When the shoot needs a trailer

  • Talent or clients are on a remote location with no building restrooms
  • Hair, makeup, and wardrobe need water and mirrors nearby
  • Multi-day shoots where comfort affects schedule and morale
  • Upscale commercial or feature work where the location reflects on production

Logistics on a location

Trailers self-level for uneven locations and can run on generator or shore power — useful when you're shooting away from services. Confirm access for delivery and plan power early. See our generator vs shore power guide.
